Design & Sustainability
Together with designer Alina Klemm, we developed a silk scarf in the Maren design. Inspired by Japanese Furoshiki gift cloths, it can be tied to match our Maren Paper Case.
Afterward, you can also use the Furoshiki silk scarf in many different ways — as a headband, bracelet, neck scarf, or accessory on your bag. This makes it a versatile companion that you can wear and style again and again.
Design & Production:

Furoshiki silk scarf Jewelry designer Helge Maren Hauptmann
For Helge Maren Hauptmann, jewelry is something deeply personal. It preserves memories, tells stories, and often stays with us for a lifetime. This attitude shapes every piece of jewelry from Maren Jewellery.
After studying jewelry design in Pforzheim and spending many years in the industry, the designer founded Maren Jewellery in 2020 to create jewelry guided by her own values: handcrafted and defined by a quiet luxury aesthetic. Pieces made from recycled gold and lab-grown diamonds don’t need to be loud to move you – for women who value design, quality, and responsibility.
Frequently Asked Questions about the Furoshiki Silk Scarf
What is a Furoshiki and what is it used for?
Furoshiki refers to traditional Japanese cloths used for wrapping, packaging, and carrying a wide range of items. Our Furoshiki silk scarf is also inspired by this idea: instead of packaging that has served its purpose once unwrapped, the scarf itself becomes an accessory you can use again and again.
Can I use the Furoshiki silk cloth as gift wrapping for jewelry?
Yes, our Furoshiki silk scarf was designed to fit perfectly around our Maren Paper Case. This allows you to wrap a jewelry gift beautifully in fabric and at the same time make the scarf an extra part of your gift. Especially for birthdays, Christmas, weddings, anniversaries, or other special moments, the Furoshiki is a lovely alternative to classic gift wrap.
How can I reuse the Furoshiki silk cloth after unwrapping?
After unwrapping, a new life begins for your Furoshiki silk scarf. For example, you can wear it as a headband, neck scarf, bracelet, or accessory on your bag. You can also use it for another gift or decorate your home with it. This versatile reuse is an important part of the idea behind the scarf - because beautiful packaging does not have to lose its purpose after a single use.
What material is the Furoshiki cloth made of?
Our Furoshiki cloth is made of 100 % silk and measures 41 × 41 cm. The design was created together with German designer Alina Klemm, and the cloth is sewn in the Netherlands. Thanks to the silk material, it is not only intended as reusable gift wrap, but can also be worn afterwards as a personal fashion and styling accessory.
If anything is ever wrong with your piece of jewelry, we’re here for you.
We craft each piece of jewelry with great care and the aim that it will accompany you for many years — ideally for a lifetime. That is why we use high-quality materials and careful workmanship.
