Do you own an heirloom or a piece of jewelry from a loved one that holds special meaning for you, but no longer suits your style? With our ReDesign Service, we give your existing jewelry a new form.
Whether old wedding rings are to become a new piece of jewelry, a ring is to be turned into a pendant, or only small changes are desired — together with you, we develop a custom design. Existing materials can be taken into account and, depending on the design, supplemented with new materials.
Important: Unlike our ReMold Service, your existing gold is not necessarily reused 1:1 for your new piece of jewelry during ReDesign. We assess your old jewelry and credit its material value toward the creation of your new piece.
How our ReDesign Service works
1. Send an inquiry
You contact us through our website and tell us about your existing piece of jewelry and your wishes.
2. Personal consultation
Together we discuss your old jewelry, its material value, and your ideas for the new piece.
3. Custom design
In close coordination, we develop a design that translates your story and your wishes into a new form.
4. Quote & production
You receive a non-binding quote from us. After your confirmation and once your jewelry has arrived, we carefully craft your new piece of jewelry by hand for you.
5. Your new piece of jewelry
Once completed, we send your new piece of jewelry back to you insured — ready to continue accompanying you in its new form.
Which pieces of jewelry are suitable?
Our ReDesign Service is available for genuine gold and silver jewelry. Unfortunately, we cannot use gold-plated jewelry or costume jewelry for remaking.
We will check individually with you whether your piece of jewelry is suitable for ReDesign and what options are available.

For Helge Maren Hauptmann, jewelry is something deeply personal. It preserves memories, tells stories, and often stays with us for a lifetime. This mindset shapes every piece of jewelry by Maren Jewellery.
After studying jewelry design in Pforzheim and spending many years in the industry, the designer founded Maren Jewellery in 2020 to create jewelry based on her own values: handcrafted and defined by a quiet luxury aesthetic. Using recycled gold and lab-grown diamonds, she creates pieces that do not need to be loud to be moving—for women who value design, quality, and responsibility.
Frequently asked questions about remodeling
Many old genuine pieces of gold or silver jewelry are suitable for remaking jewelry—for example, rings, necklaces, brooches, earrings, or bracelets. Existing gemstones or pearls can also be incorporated into the new piece of jewelry depending on their condition. This is a great way to carry especially personal heirlooms forward in a new form. Feel free to contact us in advance so that we can assess together what options are available for your existing jewelry.
Which old jewelry can I have remodeled?
Before we remold your old jewelry, we discuss your wishes and the design possibilities with you in detail. Depending on the project, we create sketches so you get as precise an idea as possible of the new piece of jewelry. We understand that heirlooms in particular can have high personal and emotional value, and we handle your jewelry with care accordingly. If you have any questions or requests for changes after completion, we will work together to find a suitable solution.
What happens if I don't like the remodeled piece of jewelry?
The cost of remaking jewelry cannot be given as a flat rate. It depends, among other things, on the existing jewelry, the desired new design, the craftsmanship involved, and any additional materials that may be needed. Once we know your old jewelry and your wishes, we will be happy to provide you with a personal, no-obligation quote.
