4.2 Customer account
Maren Jewellery offers you the option of setting up a personal customer account (hereinafter "customer account"). In the customer account, you can store your personal information. The customer account makes shopping in the online shop and its processing more convenient because you do not have to enter your personal data again with every purchase. The contractual content of the agreement on the provision of the customer account also includes that you will receive a maximum of two emails per year, one inviting you to submit a product review and one inviting you to submit a service review.
To set up a personal customer account, Maren Jewellery requires your first and last name. In addition, customers must provide their email address and a password of their choice. The email address provided by the customer also serves as the login ID for the customer account. After successful registration, the customer automatically receives a confirmation by email. In this way, the customer concludes the agreement with Maren Jewellery for the provision of the customer account. In addition, customers can store their personal information including their date of birth in their customer account and shop conveniently in the online store. The details can be updated at any time in the personal area of the customer account ("Account").
Your customer account also allows you to collect points and redeem them for vouchers from Maren Jewellery for Maren Jewellery products. Points are awarded as follows: create customer account 10 points, place order 10 points per 1 €, birthday 50 points, Instagram follow 20 points. Every 10,000 points can be redeemed for a 50.00 € voucher and every 20,000 points can be redeemed for a 100.00 € voucher. You can also generate a 5% discount code yourself for a purchase and send it by email to a friend. As a reward, you will also receive a 5% discount code. Please make sure that the recipient agrees to receive such emails from you. Maren Jewellery uses the Influence.io service of REVIEWS.io 2020 GmbH for this purpose, Skalitzer Str. 104, 10997 Berlin ("REVIEWS.io"). To collect points and allocate and communicate vouchers, we process first and last name, email address, order number, order value and, where applicable, the customers' Instagram account name and date of birth. We transfer this data to the service provider REVIEWS.io, which in turn transfers it to Feedback Group LLC, 1201 Orange St. Ste 600 One Commercial Center, Wilmington, New Castle, DE 19801, USA. Further information on data protection at Influence.io can be found at Privacy Policy | Influence.io.
Of course, the customer may terminate the agreement for the provision of the customer account at any time and without stating reasons. Any points not redeemed will expire in this case. The easiest way to do this is by sending an informal email to info@marenjewellery.com.
The legal basis for the associated data processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract). If the use of Influence.io results in a transfer of data to the USA, the level of data protection in the USA is considered adequate on the basis of the Data Privacy Framework. 5.4.3 Marketing cookies
Marketing cookies come from external advertising companies (third-party cookies) and are used to collect information about the websites visited by the user in order to create targeted advertising for the user and display advertising aligned with their interests. They are also used to limit how often an ad appears and to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. This information may be shared with third parties, e.g. advertisers.
The legal basis for the use of marketing cookies is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with your consent. Data transfer to the USA
Data transfer to the USA
The services required for these marketing purposes transfer data about your use of this Website to the USA. On 10 July 2023, the European Commission adopted its adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. It stipulates that the USA ensures an adequate level of protection for personal data transferred from the EU to US companies that is comparable to that of the EU. The activation of these services and the associated transfer of your data to the USA therefore takes place on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 45(1), (3) GDPR.
Withdrawal of consent to the use of marketing cookies: You can withdraw your consent to the use of marketing cookies at any time with effect for the future here .
Objection to data processing:
You can also manage marketing cookies, among other things, via tools developed in many countries as part of self-regulatory programmes, such as
• https://www.aboutads.info/choices/ (USA) or
• http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices (EU).
Marketing cookies in detail:
a. Facebook Custom Audiences (for websites) / Conversion via Facebook Pixel
This Website uses the so-called Facebook Pixel from Facebook. The social network Facebook is operated by the company of the same name, Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or, for users of our Website located in the EU, by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.
• The Facebook Pixel is used for the following purposes: Facebook (Website) Custom Audience
Maren Jewellery uses the Facebook Pixel on the one hand for remarketing purposes in order to be able to target you again within 180 days.
This allows users of the websites to be shown interest-based advertisements ("Facebook Ads") when they visit "Facebook" or other websites that also use the process. We thereby pursue the interest of showing you advertising that is relevant to you in order to make our Website and offers more interesting for you.
• Facebook Conversion
On the other hand, with the help of the Facebook Pixel, Maren Jewellery wants to ensure that our Facebook Ads correspond to users' potential interests and do not appear annoying. With the help of the Facebook Pixel, we can track the effectiveness of Facebook Ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our Website after clicking on a Facebook Ad (so-called "conversion").
Due to the Facebook Pixel used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Facebook's server if you have consented to the use of marketing cookies.
By integrating the Facebook Pixel, Facebook receives the information that you have accessed our Website or clicked on one of our ads and/or carried out further activities on our Website (e.g. viewed content, placed items in the shopping basket, started a purchase process or entered payment data). If you visit other websites that also use "Facebook Conversion", this information is also linked to your user account. However, we cannot see which other websites you visit. If you are registered with a Facebook service, Facebook can assign your visits to your account. Even if you are not registered with Facebook or not logged in, it is possible that Facebook will learn and store your IP address and other identifying features.
Your data is processed by Facebook in accordance with Facebook's data policy, available at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. Further information and details about the Facebook Pixel and how it works can also be found in Facebook's help section at: https://www.facebook.com/business/help.
We point out that this cookie has a term of 180 days.

5.4.4 Affiliate marketing
This website uses the performance advertising network of AWIN AG, Eichhornstraße 3, 10785 Berlin (hereinafter "AWIN"). In this context, AWIN stores cookies on users' devices to document transactions (e.g. "sales leads") when they visit or use websites or other online services of its customers (e.g. subscribing to a newsletter or placing an online order). These cookies serve solely the purpose of correctly attributing the success of an advertising medium and the corresponding billing within the network. The AWIN tracking cookies store an individual sequence of digits that cannot be assigned to the individual user, with which the partner programme of an advertiser, the publisher, the time of the user's action (click or view) are documented. In this context, AWIN also collects information about the device from which a transaction is carried out by means of fingerprinting, e.g. the operating system and the browser used to access the site, and when a particular advertising medium was clicked on from a device. The legal basis for the associated data processing is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with your consent. Withdrawal of consent: You can withdraw your consent to the use of AWIN affiliate marketing cookies at any time with effect for the future here . Further information on data processing by AWIN can be found in the Privacy Policy of AWIN.
5.4.5 Google Ads Customer Match
We use Google Ads Customer Match (hereinafter "Google Customer Match"), which is offered for persons from the European Economic Area and Switzerland by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland and for all other persons by Google LLC 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (together "Google").
With Google Customer Match, we import the customer email addresses available to us, which are encrypted using an algorithm, into our Google AdWords account. Google Customer Match compares the encrypted email lists in AdWords with its own database of users registered with Google. Google cannot decrypt the encrypted data unless you are a customer of Google products. On the basis of this comparison with existing Google customers and interested parties in Google Search, the Google Shopping tab, Gmail, on YouTube, in Google's networks and with Google's advertising partners, audiences can be created, reached more effectively on other websites and addressed more specifically with ads and campaigns by means of remarketing based on their interests. After the Customer Match lists have been created, the encrypted customer data is automatically deleted.
Recipients of the data are Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland and, where applicable, Google LLC 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA as processor. On 10 July 2023, the European Commission adopted its adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. It stipulates that the USA ensures an adequate level of protection for personal data transferred from the EU to US companies that is comparable to that of the EU. The activation of this service and the associated transfer of your data to the USA therefore takes place on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 45(1), (3) GDPR.
Withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent to the use of marketing cookies at any time with effect for the future here .
Objection to data processing: You can also prevent cookies from being set by adjusting your browser software settings. Alternatively, you can customise personalised advertising in your Google user account under the Privacy section according to your preferences. To do so, sign in to Google and go to "Manage your Google Account" and then to the "Data & privacy" section.
In addition, you can disable the use of cookies by Google by following the link below and installing the plug-in provided there: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.
5.4.6 Google Enhanced Conversions
In connection with Google Ads, we use the "Google Enhanced Conversions" extension from Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). This function makes it possible to transmit the personal data you enter on our website (email address, telephone number, name, address) to Google in hashed, i.e. pseudonymised, form in order to measure conversions (i.e. completed actions such as purchases or inquiries) more accurately and optimise advertising campaigns. Google combines the transmitted information with existing usage data and provides us with statistical evaluations based on this. We only receive aggregated metrics. If you are logged into your Google account while using the service, Google may assign the data to your account. You can prevent this by logging out of your Google account before visiting our website or by not giving your consent to the processing via our cookie banner.
The legal basis for processing your personal data is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with your consent. You can give your consent via our cookie banner and withdraw it at any time with effect for the future without stating reasons.
It cannot be ruled out that your data may be transmitted to Google in the USA in this context. On 10 July 2023, the European Commission adopted its adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. It stipulates that the USA ensures an adequate level of protection for personal data transferred from the EU to US companies that is comparable to that of the EU. Any transfer of your data to the USA takes place on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 45(1), (3) GDPR.

You can withdraw your consent to the use of Everflow or the setting of corresponding cookies at any time in the cookie banner or prevent it via browser settings. Everflow may transfer data to the USA. On 10 July 2023, the European Commission adopted its adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
