Maren Love Story – Ein Redesign für Emma

Maren love story – a redesign for emma

Love Story

Hello and welcome to another part of our interview series a maren lovestory, in which we regularly want to take you with us on the journeys that our pieces of jewelry go on after they leave our studio. Which lives, personal moments or memories can our jewelry accompany from this moment on? ?

It's still an incredibly exciting question for us and it fills us with pride every time we get such an insight and thus an answer to this question. That's why we're looking forward to another little jewelry story today, this time about Emma and what we think is a beautiful and individual jewelry makeover. Let yourself be inspired and reminded of the little stories hidden everywhere in our everyday lives.n.

Interview with Emma

Dear Emma, you contacted our founder Helge with a request to have one of your pieces of jewelry reworked.

Before we go into more detail, please tell us who you are and what your life is like!

Emma:
Very gladly! My name is Emma, I am 32 years old, a freelancer in the areas of marketing and communications and live with my husband, my little daughter and dog Willi in our current adopted home of Munich. We feel very comfortable there and, in addition to our love for the city, we have also discovered a love for the mountains. That's why we spend as much time as possible outside in nature, be it on the way to some summit or relaxing with an ice cream on the Isar.

We definitely have something in common with our love of nature and we wouldn't have any objection to an ice cream on the Isar.

Now we would like to know which piece of jewelry you were originally not completely satisfied with and why?

Emma:
The piece of jewelry was a gold ring with a ruby and a mini-small diamond. On the one hand, the ring was a little too big for me and on the other hand, I just didn't like the design 100%. But it meant so much to me emotionally that I definitely didn't want to let it just gather dust in my jewelry box. Then I had the idea to simply ask, without obligation, whether a redesign would be possible and whether my initial ideas could be implemented.

Please tell us where the ring comes from and why it was important to you to actually wear it in the future!

Emma:
I received the ring as a gift from my mother for my 30th birthday. Together with kind words and a date engraving. That alone gives me sentimental value, but the ring, with its ruby and small diamond, should also be reminiscent of a ring that my father had given my mother when I was born. I remember this ring clearly because my mother wore it every day. For me it is a very present memory from my childhood. Unfortunately unfortunately unfortunately this ring got lost, which made me incredibly sad because it was always clear that I was supposed to get it at some point. So my mother tried to find a similar ring as a symbol and to remind me of the original every day.

I am very happy with the result and wear the ring every day

That's a shame. What does the new design look like? Even if it's not the original, you're happy with the results?

Emma:
Yes very. We did a few design rounds together and I was firmly convinced that Helge would throw in the towel at some point. I had a bit of a hard time finding a design that really matched the original, but also my personal style. Now that we've done it, I wanted to perfect it too. And in the end we succeeded. I am very happy with the result and wear the ring every day. Basically it's just become a much more delicate and simple version, which now fits me wonderfully and of course has the engraving again.

Why did you choose Maren Jewellery? Did sustainability also play a special role in your choice?e?

I have known Helge and Maren Jewelery for several years now and am enthusiastic about their work. It was clear to me that I would only give the ring to hands I trust and that's when I thought of her. The fact that she attaches great importance to sustainability and that her entire business activities are influenced by it was of course a big plus. In any case, I haven't regretted my choice for a second.

Thank you for your openness and this beautiful personal insight into one of your jewelry stories, dear Emma. All the best for you.

Maybe you would also like to share your very personal "maren love story" with us in the form of an interview for one of our journals. You can easily contact us, be it by email or via one of our social media channels. We look forward to hearing from you and learning more about your jewelry story..
