Maren Love Story - Unique necklace for the birth of Matheo

Today, we’d like to tell you Gunnar’s story. He had a touching idea for a truly unique gift to celebrate the birth of his son, Matheo.
For his wife Anja, he wanted to capture a special moment from the pregnancy – the first visible heartbeat curve of their baby. Together with Gunnar, we created an enchanting necklace for Anja that now preserves Matheo’s heartbeat forever.

Dear Gunnar, you contacted us some time ago with a very special idea to give your wife an individual gift for the birth of your child. We’re really looking forward to hearing more from you about it today.

First of all, please introduce yourself: who are you and of course who are you??

Gunnar:
My name is Gunnar, I'm 35 years old and I've been going through life with my wife Anja for almost 13 years now. We have been married for over 3 years. We live in Switzerland, love good food and enjoy traveling.

That sounds like a beautiful love story.

Now we are very excited to see which pieces of jewelry from Maren Jewelery have become part of your very personal story?

Gunnar:
In July 2023 we welcomed our first son Matheo.

When I was looking for a suitable birth gift, I was primarily driven by the idea of ​​creating something completely individual. Something that will remind Anja of Matheo for the rest of her life, has meaning only for her and us and at the same time is not an overly obvious or common symbol from the outside, such as a name, date or star sign.

That sounds like a wonderful and creative thought. Feel free to tell us more about your idea and how it took shape. Was there a particular reason for the symbol chosen?

Gunnar:
During one of the check-ups during pregnancy, we were able to hear our baby's heartbeat for the first time through the ultrasound. This was an indescribable and very special moment for us.

After we were allowed to take the printed heart curve home and stare at it again and again, I came up with the idea of ​​having a chain created that would immortalize part of the heartbeat curve.

Gunnar:
In a great, collaborative process I was able to realize my idea together with Maren Jewellery.
