Maren Love Story – Engagement of Jule & Theis

Sometimes there are people who, from the very first moment, make you feel like you've arrived. With them, great adventures feel just as right as the small, everyday moments.

For our series  “a maren lovestory” , we spoke with Jule and Theis about their shared story, a very special ring, and an unforgettable moment on Fuerteventura.

Dear Jule, dear Theis,

we are very happy that you are sharing your story with us.

Jule, when you think of Theis: What was the moment when you realized that this person is someone very special to you?

Jule:
I truly believe I had this feeling from our very first day. Even though we barely knew each other beforehand, everything immediately felt incredibly familiar. We instantly clicked, realized how similar our values, wishes, and ideas were, and after our first meeting, we simply didn’t want to go home at all. Originally, we had only planned to grab a coffee and go for a walk – but in the end, we spent the whole day together. That feeling, as if we had known each other forever, has stayed with us to this day.

Theis, you took the ReMind Mini Ring with you to Fuerteventura. What immediately reminded you of Jule when you chose the ring?

Theis: We often strolled together through pedestrian zones and looked at jewelry. We always liked the same things. The ReMind Mini was simply charming and not too flashy, yet incredibly beautiful. It was perfect, and I knew right away that she would like it.

Jule, you love wearing jewelry and lots of different rings. What did the engagement ring make you feel when you saw it for the first time?

Jule:
I was completely speechless. It truly left me at a loss for words — and that almost never happens to me. All I could think was: Wow. The ring was exactly as beautiful as I could never have imagined it any better. The fact that Theis chose it entirely on his own and it still suits me so perfectly touched me deeply. Everything just felt right. I was so overwhelmed with happiness and joy that all I wanted to do was shout yes at the top of my lungs.

When you look back on this day many years from now: What would you never want to forget about it?

Jule:
We really don’t want to forget a single second of that day. But what especially stays with us is setting off at five in the morning in the dark. I was still totally sleepy and was simply looking forward to the sunrise, while Theis was probably already incredibly nervous – with the ring in his backpack. The sunrise was beautiful, and just about a minute after Theis got down on one knee, suddenly there wasn’t a single cloud left in the sky. It was a moment that, to this day, neither of us can hardly believe. When we were back at the hotel later, all the tension drained away from Theis and he first took a long morning nap. I, on the other hand, was so excited all day that I couldn’t get back to sleep, spent hours on the phone with my girlfriends, and was simply overjoyed.
