a. Facebook Custom Audiences (for websites) / Conversion via Facebook Pixel

This website uses the so-called Facebook Pixel from Facebook. The social network Facebook is operated by the company of the same name, Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or for users of our website residing in the EU, by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.

• The Facebook Pixel is used for the following purposes: Facebook (Website) Custom Audience

Maren Jewellery uses the Facebook Pixel for remarketing purposes, allowing us to reach out to you again within 180 days.

This allows users of the websites to be shown interest-based advertisements ("Facebook Ads") during their visit to "Facebook" or other websites that use the same procedure. We pursue the interest of showing you advertisements that are relevant to you, in order to make our website and offers more interesting for you.

• Facebook Conversion

On the other hand, Maren Jewellery wants to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interests of users and do not appear intrusive, with the help of the Facebook Pixel. With the help of the Facebook Pixel, we can track the effectiveness of the Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called "conversion").

Due to the Facebook Pixel used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Facebook's server if you have consented to the use of marketing cookies.

By integrating the Facebook Pixel, Facebook receives the information that you have visited our website or clicked on an ad from us and/or engaged in further activities on our website (e.g., you have viewed content, added items to the shopping cart, initiated a purchase process, or provided payment information). If you visit other websites that also use "Facebook Conversion," this information will also be linked to your user account. However, we cannot see which other websites you visit. If you are registered with a Facebook service, Facebook can associate your visits with your account. Even if you are not registered with Facebook or have not logged in, there is a possibility that Facebook obtains and stores your IP address and other identifying features.

The processing of your data by Facebook takes place within the framework of Facebook's data policy, available at https://www.facebook.com/policy.phpFurther information and details about the Facebook Pixel and how it works can also be found in the help section of Facebook, accessible at: https://www.facebook.com/business/help.
