Maren Love Story – Toni & Björn's Engagement

Personal stories are shaped by the past, present, and future. Three stages of life that are always with us. The same is true for Toni and Björn, who have now sealed the next chapter of their life together with a Maren ring in Denmark. 

The following statements reflect the personal experiences and views of those interviewed. 

Dear Toni and Björn, a custom trilogy ring from Maren Jewellery has become part of your very special love story. This brings us so much joy, and we can't wait to hear your story in your own words. 

Please introduce yourselves: Who are you, what makes you unique, and how did you find each other?

Toni & Björn: 
We're Antonia and Björn from Nuremberg, and we met in 2020 during the pandemic in the usual way: on Tinder. Björn hadn't actually planned on finding the woman he'd spend his life with that evening. But when he first saw Toni, it was love at first sight for him. After a date spent foraging for mushrooms together in the woods, Toni felt much the same. Those were the kinds of things you did back then, when restaurants, cinemas and other leisure venues were closed.

Getting to know each other was an intense time, filled with wonderful conversations. We quickly realized how alike we are when it comes to the things that really matter to us. For both of us, family comes first. We love taking the time to savor life's special moments, and we're both always open to meeting new people, exploring new countries and trying new experiences.

Of course, our cat Lille has also been part of our happy little family for four years now. 

That sounds like a wonderful journey together. Thank you both for sharing such a special glimpse into your lives!

Now, of course, we'd love to hear from you, Björn: what brought you to Denmark? And when did you realize it was the right time to pop the question?

Björn: 
We spent our summer holiday with friends in a holiday home on the Danish island of Læsø and had a wonderful time there.

After a very stormy ferry crossing back to the mainland, which had left some passengers, including Toni, feeling a little worse for wear, we continued our journey towards Viborg. I had chosen a hike around Hald Sø. By then, Toni had already noticed that I was unusually nervous, as I couldn't stop talking.

When we finally reached a beautiful clearing right by the lakeshore and a little family of ducks swam past us, the moment felt just perfect. That was where I asked Toni the most important question of my life.

Toni, what went through your mind when you first saw the ring?

Toni:
To be honest, I was initially so overwhelmed by the proposal itself that I barely noticed the ring at first. After I had, of course, answered with a clear “Yes” and the initial rush of emotion had settled a little, I finally got to take a closer look at it.

I thought it was beautiful straight away. It is sparkling, elegant, timeless, and simply perfect for me. What made it even more special was realizing that I had already spotted and liked this very ring on Maren Jewellery’s Instagram page a few weeks earlier, without knowing that the one in the picture was MY RING.

I have worn it every day since. It reminds me not only of that unforgettable moment in Denmark, but also of the special symbolism of the trilogy ring. To me, the three stones represent our shared past, our present, and everything the future holds for us. They also symbolize Björn, our cat Lille, and me as a little family.

Björn, you set out to find the perfect ring. How did you go about choosing it, and what ultimately led you to the platinum trilogy ring?

Björn: 
While searching for the perfect ring, I secretly visited Helge at Lake Chiemsee to see her beautiful collection.

Since Antonia already owns several pieces from Maren Jewellery and prefers silver jewelry, I quickly knew that her engagement ring should be platinum. Together, we discussed various options, looked at different designs, and even created custom variations.

In the end, I chose the trilogy ring because its special symbolism immediately resonated with me. The connection between past, present, and future felt like a perfect fit for our story and the step we wanted to take together.

I would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Helge for her personal guidance, the time she invested, and the designs she created with such care and love.

When you look back on this special day many years from now, what do you never want to forget about it?

Toni & Björn: 
Above all, we never want to forget that overwhelming feeling: the love, the connection, and the deep sense of being right where we belong.

Knowing that Björn had spent many months planning this moment and that we had made a conscious decision to spend our lives together makes this memory so special to us. Even though we had already been a couple for several years, taking this step felt like the beginning of a whole new and meaningful chapter in our life together.

We will always remember that evening, too: the wonderful three-course dinner at our spa hotel, the conversations about our future, and that very special feeling of being engaged. It was a day filled with happiness, love, and excitement for everything that lies ahead. ✨
