Maren Love Story - Engagement of Janine & Mo

Hello and a very warm welcome to another part of our interview series “a maren lovestory”! In this series, we regularly take you along on the journeys our jewelry pieces go on once they have left our studio. What special moments, what stage of life, or what unforgettable memories do they accompany from that moment on?

Today, we are especially delighted to introduce you to the enchanting love story of Janine and Moritz. A story that speaks not only of deep feelings, but also of unique experiences — and in which a ring from Maren Jewellery plays a decisive role.

The following statements reflect the interviewee’s personal experiences and views.

Dear Janine & Mo, a beautiful ring from Maren Jewellery has become part of your very special love story.

We are thrilled about this and would love to learn more about you and your unique love story.

Feel free to introduce yourselves: Who are you, what defines you, and how did you find each other?

Janine & Mo:
We are Mo and Janine. Although we went to the same school, we only got to know each other through mutual friends after graduation and have been a well-coordinated couple for almost six years now. We have been living together for about two years (finally!). We are known as the couple that always takes on too much, dances at three weddings at the same time. We are always active, always planning, and, if possible, always outdoors.

So, what kind of ring should it be and why? Feel free to tell us more about your idea and how it has taken shape.

Tuesday:
Janine's ring should be delicate and elegant. At first glance, she doesn't stand out, but can sparkle like no other when inspired. Therefore, the choice quickly fell on a slim ring in light 14 karat yellow gold with three white stones. Inconspicuous, yet unmistakable!

We would love to hear more about your engagement:

How did the special day of your engagement unfold and what emotions were involved?

Janine:
To escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we treated ourselves to a wellness weekend in Chiemgau for Christmas. In February, we had the mountains to ourselves. There was snow, the sun was shining, and it was simply a beautiful day in the mountains. Mo had come up with something very special (wanted to): I talked him out of the planned snowshoe hike - due to lack of snow. How wrong I was! There was snow meters high, and we were laughing as we sank unexpectedly up to our hips every few steps.

Once we reached the top, we had a beautiful view of the Wilder Kaiser, and then came the second special moment: We had brought our gas cooker and cooked Yumyum soup in wind force 6. Even then, I had no idea.

It wasn't until the pot was back in the backpack and Mo suddenly knelt in the snow in front of me that I knew what was coming. We just smiled at each other and cried for what felt like an eternity. Then came the question of all questions and a "Yes, OF COURSE!" from me. Simply beautiful and perfectly planned by Mo!

Why did you choose Maren Jewellery? Did sustainability play a special role in the selection of the ring?

Tuesday:
From various perspectives, it was immediately clear to me that I wanted to search for Maren Jewellery. There was, of course, the desire to help the still young business grow. Then there was the ecological and social component, knowing that the materials for the ring were responsibly sourced. And finally, the interpersonal trust, knowing that I will be advised very individually regarding my own concern, to hold a beautiful ring in my hands that Janine is proud of for a long time.

That's why it was immediately clear to us that we also wanted to commission Maren for the wedding rings (and did so).
