You have that one special idea of how your dream piece of jewelry, your engagement ring, wedding band, or your dream bracelet and necklace should look, and you can't find exactly that design anywhere? Then you are in the right place! I am Helge Maren, a trained jewelry designer, and I love to design and create custom jewelry for you. Below, I will give you some insights into creating your own pieces of jewelry.

Design your own jewelry and have it professionally made

Jewelry Design: Important Basics
It’s best if you already have an idea of what you want to create. First, an important foundation is to decide which piece of jewelry it should be. Are you looking for an engagement ring or do you want to design a necklace? In the next step, you can ask yourselves what metal color you would like, and whether you want stones on the piece of jewelry. I can also accept old gold as a trade-in and credit it towards the new piece, or use stones from your old, beloved jewelry or heirlooms. In the next step, we can plan together how the piece of jewelry should look in detail, what your style is, and whether you want something simple or elaborate.
Bracelets, necklaces, pendants, earrings, or rings – Custom-made!
No matter what piece of jewelry it should be, whether a bracelet or a necklace, we will now go into detail and design exactly your desired piece of jewelry. For this, I work in a 3D program to create a photorealistic design and offer based on your ideas. From there, I can either start directly with the production of the piece of jewelry or I can revise the design again, for example, if you want something narrower or wider, or maybe an extra stone after all. As soon as you are happy with the design, I will start with the production.

Personalization: Create your own jewelry engraving
You are also very welcome to add a personal engraving, whether on a piece of jewelry you already own, on one of our Maren jewelry pieces, or on your custom-designed piece. Your creativity knows almost no bounds. We are happy to engrave your drawings or even your handwriting; almost anything is possible! The engraving makes your piece of jewelry even more personal.
From design to unique piece: How Maren supports you in jewelry design
If you are unsure about what exactly you want or how to turn your ideas into a piece of jewelry, I am more than happy to assist you. I can make suggestions, send mood boards or examples, or provide personalized advice in a video call about what is possible to create the perfect unique piece for you.
The result: Your custom-designed piece of jewelry
The most beautiful moment is when I have finalized your individual piece of jewelry and hold it in my hand for the last time for the final polishing and quality check before sending it to you. I always feel particularly excited when the pieces of jewelry are on their way to you and become your very own companions with personal stories and meanings. That is what makes jewelry design so special for me!

FAQ
Can I design a ring myself for the engagement?
Yes, I would love to! I am a trained jewelry designer and I enjoy designing exclusive pieces in 3D for you and then crafting them for you. I can fully accommodate your ideas and will provide you with a non-binding design and cost proposal, which we can then refine together according to your preferences.
Can you turn any design created by Maren into a piece of jewelry?
We can implement almost all of your ideas. Sometimes it is necessary to adjust your idea slightly, for example, to make the piece of jewelry a bit thicker or thinner in order to technically realize it well, so that it lasts a lifetime. However, we always coordinate this with you in advance to achieve exactly the design you have in mind.
How long does it take to professionally create my custom-designed piece of jewelry?
On average, a custom order takes 6-8 weeks. If we design something without stones, we are faster; however, if stones are involved that we need to source for you because we don't have the color in stock or if you request an engraving, it will take about 10 weeks.
