We want to express this feeling with our Milkyway ball chain, which we forge in Germany from recycled 925 sterling silver and with a recycled 750 yellow gold clasp. Beauty surrounds us and at the same time we are a fragment of it.

Can I wear the Milkyway ball chain in the shower or does the silver tarnish?
In principle, it is no problem to wear the Milkyway ball chain and all our jewellery made of silver in the shower, because they are waterproof. Nevertheless, if you can avoid it, you should take off your jewellery when showering, bathing, washing your hands or doing the dishes. Cosmetics such as shower gels, bath additives, soaps or washing-up liquid can damage your jewellery or leave behind unsightly deposits that then require cleaning and polishing.
Does a ball chain need special care?
A ball chain has a slightly larger surface area overall and also a few more gaps where external influences such as cosmetics, sweat and dust can be deposited. Therefore, it may be necessary to clean it from time to time. You can either do this yourself, e.g. with our Jewelry Care Set or you have your jewellery professionally cleaned. We also offer such a refresh service.
Is the Milkyway ball chain suitable for wearing a pendant?
Our Milkyway ball chain is not suitable for wearing an additional pendant. Its larger gold clasp does not allow you to thread on a pendant. But its design is definitely convincing on its own, and without a pendant it's exactly the understated eye-catcher it's supposed to be.
