Moment Pendant Design

My new Engraving Pendant Moments is one of my most personal jewelry designs, inspired by my pregnancy.

To celebrate the upcoming birth of my first child, I drew inspiration from the symbolism of the stork and created a graphic representation of the stork's wing. It was important to me in the process that the pendant be both minimalist and timeless, yet still full of symbolism, and through the individual engraving on the back, it becomes a very personal piece of jewelry for every wearer that one does not want to take off.

In this journal, I would like to take you a little into my thoughts during pregnancy and my inspiration.

Pregnancy - such a special time and phase of life that I wanted to consciously enjoy. Even though it is not an easy time for all women, the joy of the baby and the appreciation for the miracle that one's own body can achieve outweighs it.

This special chapter in my life has inspired me to pause more and capture the beauty of the small precious moments. To pay more attention to myself and to consciously take time for myself.

This has inspired me to capture this feeling of anticipation and the essence of this profound change in a piece of jewelry: the Moments pendant.

The versatile symbolism of the stork as a fundamental symbol for my design has fascinated me greatly. In many cultures, this noble bird is considered a messenger of good news and impending new beginnings as well as rebirth, but it also represents patience and the protection of the family. 

Through its monogamous nature, it represents trust in relationships and as a power animal symbolizes patience and strength, especially in difficult situations, showing us to set priorities and to protect and cherish our loved ones.

His elegant flight shows us our ability to embrace challenges with grace and boldly forge new paths. No wonder that in his time, Otto Lilienthal was also inspired to fly by the stork.

This deep symbolism of the stork is meant to be reflected in my new Moment pendant and to serve as a personal symbol for each wearer of the valuable moments in life, as well as a reminder to look to the future with optimism.

Especially because the Moments pendant has such a special meaning for me, it was important to make the pendant something very personal for every wearer. That’s why an engraving on the back of the wing is already included!
