Sustainability means taking the entire life cycle of a piece of jewelry into account – from design, materials, and manufacturing to packaging, durability, and the circular economy.

Does Maren Jewelery Have Sustainability Certificates?
Yes. Maren Jewellery is B Corp™- and Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC)-certified. These independent company certifications assess, among other things, social, environmental, and supply chain standards.

In addition, we work with selected suppliers, some of whom are also RJC-certified.
What distinguishes Maren Jewellery's sustainability approach?
At Maren Jewellery, we view sustainability as a holistic and ongoing process. That is why we consider the entire lifecycle of our jewelry pieces—from material selection and production to durability, repair options, and packaging.
We primarily use recycled gold and silver as well as lab-grown diamonds, and we create our jewelry pieces together with selected partner manufacturers in Germany according to the made-to-order principle. This allows us to avoid overproduction and unnecessary stockholding.
Timeless design, high-quality craftsmanship, and options for repair, refurbishment, and redesign help ensure that our jewelry pieces can be worn and passed on for as long as possible. Our packaging is completely plastic-free.
Transparency is a core part of our approach. That is why we publish information about our materials, supply chains, and progress in our sustainability report and our Supply Chain Policy. In addition, we donate 3% of our profit to selected projects and support certified climate protection projects for calculated residual emissions.
Which sustainable initiatives does Maren Jewelery support?
Maren Jewellery supports selected initiatives that align with our sustainability approach.
Earthbeat Foundation
We donate 3% of our profits to the Earthbeat Foundation. The organization is committed to improving living conditions in gold mining regions and supports projects that create alternative sources of income for local communities, among other things.
Climate protection projects
To offset our company’s calculated residual emissions, we support certified climate protection projects. You can find more information about the projects we support, as well as the calculation method, in our Sustainability Report.
Does maren jewelery have a sustainability report?
Yes. Although Maren Jewellery is not currently legally required to publish a sustainability report, we prepare and publish a comprehensive sustainability report every year.
Transparency is a core part of our sustainability approach. That is why we use it to provide information about our materials, supply chains, partners, goals, and progress, as well as key figures on our environmental and climate impact.
The sustainability report includes, among other things, information about our recycled gold and silver, our lab-grown diamonds, our manufacturing, our certifications, as well as our CO₂ balance and the climate protection projects we support.
In this way, we aim to clearly document which measures we have already implemented, where we stand today, and which topics we are continuously working on.
